Aprilia Tuono 457 Design Patented In India

Aprilia will soon launch the Tuono 457 street naked bike in India. We earlier reported on the Italian bike maker listing the motorcycle on its India website. Now, the brand has filed for a design patent in India, too. The brand hasn't revealed an official launch date yet, but it is likely that the Tuono 457 will make landfall in India soon.

Aprilia Tuono 457: Engine Specifications

A street naked derivative of the RS 457, the Tuono 457 is powered by the same 457 cc, liquid-cooled twin-cylinder unit that develops 46.6 hp and 43.5 Nm of peak torque. It offers a six-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quick-shifter. The Tuono 457 has riding aids such as traction control, different riding modes, and dual-channel ABS.

Aprilia Tuono 457: Hardware And Features

Since the Tuono 457 is a streetfighter, it will offer a slightly higher set and more ergonomic riding position than the RS 457. It will ride on 17-inch wheels and offer single-disc brakes on both ends. Suspension duties will be handled by adjustable USDs at the front with a monoshock setup at the rear. The feature list will include LED lighting and a TFT dashboard.

Aprilia Tuono 457: Price And Competition

The Tuono 457 will be priced a bit lower than the RS 457, which retails for Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom). This new Aprilia streetfighter's primary rivals will be the Yamaha MT-03 and KTM 390 Duke.
