The B65 Scrambler Is BSA's Second Motorcycle: Coming To India Soon

BSA has unveiled its second motorcycle, the B65 Scrambler, based on the Gold Star 650. The new scrambler looks considerably different from the cruiser it is based upon. Cosmetic changes include a new headlamp that is smaller than the one on the Gold Star 650. A high-set front fender completes the B65's scrambler look. The handlebar is slightly wider and features bar-end mirrors.

The B65 Scrambler uses the same 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine on the Glod Star 650. This engine produces 45 hp and 55 Nm of peak torque. The engine hooks up to a 5-speed gearbox. Hardware changes include the switch from Gold Star 650's 17-inch wheel at the front to an 18-inch rim on the B65 Scrambler. The rear wheel stays the same at 17-inches. The B65 weighs 218 kg and has a seat height of 820 mm.

The new BSA scrambler's suspension duties are taken care of by 41mm telescopic forks at the front and adjustable twin-shock absorbers at the back. Stopping power comes from a single 320 mm disc brake at the front and a single 255 mm disc brake at the rear. The B65 Scrambler is equipped with dual-channel ABS.

BSA will likely launch the B65 Scrambler in India next year. It will be an alternative to the Royal Enfield Bear 650 when it goes on sale. Prices are expected to start from Rs 3.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
