Two-Wheeler Exports Grew 30% YoY In November 2024

According to the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), two-wheeler exports grew 30.2% last month, with 3,62,157 units compared to 2,78,214 in the same month the previous year. Scooter exports in November 2024 stood at 44,964, a Yoy increase of 11.3% compared to 40,381 units in November 2023. Motorcycle exports grew by 33.1% last month, with 3,16,425 units compared to 2,37,797 units in November 2023.

Domestic Two-Wheeler Production Dips 1.1% In November 2024

Though the two-wheeler exports saw an uptick last month, sales in the domestic market went down by 1.1% in November 2024 with 16,04,749 units compared to 16,23,399 in November 2023. However, domestic scooter sales grew by 11.7% in November 2024, with 5,68,580 units compared to 5,09,119 units in the same month last year. Domestic motorcycle sales decreased by 7.5% in November 2024, with 9,90,246 units compared to 10,70,798 units in November 2023.

Total Two-Wheeler Production Grows 8.8% In November 2024

The total two-wheeler production in November 2024 was 19,78,009 units, an uptick of 8.8% compared to 18,17,205 units in November 2023. A total of 6,18,170 scooters and 13,12,717 motorcycles were produced in India in November 2024, an increase of 13.9% and 6.4%, respectively, compared to November 2023.
