Volvo has re-introduced the XC40 Recharge as EX40 for the 2025 model year. The name change has been made to bring the SUV's nomenclature in line with Volvo's global EV models. Besides a new name, the EX40 has some other differences compared to the XC40 Recharge. It only has a rear-wheel-drive configuration, featuring a 69 kWh battery pack. The rear axle-mounted electric motor can produce 238 hp and 420 Nm of peak torque.
