Brixton Motorcycles Launches Crossfire 500X And Cromwell 1200 Range In India

Austria-based Brixton Motorcycles has the Crossfire 500X, Crossfire 500XC, Cromwell 1200, and Cromwell 1200X in India. These are priced at Rs 4.74 lakh, Rs 5.19 lakh, Rs 7.83 lakh, and Rs 9.10 lakh, respectively. All are ex-showroom prices. Deliveries of the Crossfire and Cromwell models will start in January 2025.

Like other Brixton motorcycles, the four models launched in India feature a neo-retro design. The Crossfire 500X is a cafe racer, the Cromwell 1200 is a roadster, and the Crossfire 500X and Cromwell 1200X are their respective scrambler derivatives.

Brixton Crossfire 500X And Crossfire 500XC

A 486cc, liquid-cooled, inline two-cylinder engine powers the Brixton Crossfire 500X and Crossfire 500XC. It produces 46 hp and 43 Nm of peak torque. Both motorcycles feature a 6-speed manual gearbox. Brixton claims that the Crossfire 500X and Crossfire 500XC can achieve a top speed of 160 km/h.

The Crossfire 500X is a cafe racer, while the Crossfire 500XC is its scrambler derivative. The 500X has USD forks at the front and a swingarm with a single shock absorber at the back. The 500XC, on the other hand, features long-travel USD forks with adjustable preload at the front and an adjustable single shock with rebound damping at the rear.

Brixton Crossfire 500XC

The Crossfire 500X and Crossfire 500XC use a single 320 mm disc brake at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. The 500X rides on 17-inch rims front and back, while the 500XC uses a 19-inch rim front and 17-inch at the back.

Brixton Cromwell 1200

Brixton Cromwell 1200 And Cromwell 1200X

A 1222cc, liquid-cooled inline-four powers the Brixton Cromwell 1200 and Cromwell 1200X. It produces 81 hp and 108 Nm of peak torque. Both motorcycles have a 6-speed gearbox, achieving a claimed top speed of 198 km/h.

Brixton Cromwell 1200X

The Brixton Cromwell 1200 and Cromwell 1200X have KYB telescopic forks at the front. The Cromwell 1200 uses KYB adjustable preload shock absorbers at the back, while the Cromwell 1200X has a double strut KYB. Both motorcycles use twin 310 mm disc brakes at the front and a single 260 mm disc brake at the rear.
