Hero MotorCorp is developing a new 440cc scrambler motorcycle. The brand recently filed a design patent for it and registered a trademark for 'Mavrick 440 Scrambler' in India. These developments suggest that this new 440cc scrambler will be a derivative of the Mavrick 440.

New Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler
Hero's design patent reveals what this new scrambler will look like. Overall, the off-road motorcycle looks identical to the Mavrick 440. But it comes with a few hardware updates. These include gaited telescopic forks at the front, a tubular crash guard, and a new sump guard.
Other differences on the new scrambler include a handlebar brace, a new windscreen, a flatter seat design, and a new set of alloy wheels. If you look closely, you'll also see the patented design features slightly different side panels compared to the Maverick 440. The instrument cluster and the circular headlamp appear to be carried forward.

Likely To Use The Mavrick 440's Air-Cooled Engine
Since the new scrambler will be based on the Maverick 440, it will likely get the same 440cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This engine produces 26 hp and 36 Nm of peak torque paired with a six-speed gearbox. Hero MotoCorp will likely showcase the new 440cc scrambler at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
The Hero Maverick 440 prices start from Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maverick 400 Scrambler will likely command a slight premium over this, retailing at an ex-showroom price higher than Rs 2 lakh.
