Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has filed a patent for a range of new bikes in India. These include a few middle-weight models and bigger bikes. To be specific, the models include the CB500 Hornet, CBR500R, CBR650R, and CB1000 Hornet. Among these, the CB1000 Hornet is the biggest with a 999 cc four-cylinder engine. All of these aforementioned models, if launched in India, will be sold through the Big Wing dealerships.Among these, the CB500 Hornet and CBR500R will share their powertrain with the Honda NX500 already on sale in India. With a roadster-like body, the CB500 Hornet will use a 471 cc parallel-twin engine. Chances are that these bikes also borrow some of the features from the NX500 like a dual-channel ABS for safety, and more. These features can be controlled via a TFTdisplay used on the bike.Meanwhile, the Honda CBR650R will be a middle-weight sport all covered with fairings with the familiar twin-headlamp design complemented by LED DRLs. Furthermore, the bike will have a TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity. After a recent update in the international market, the bike has been equipped with the brand's E-Clutch technology. Chances are that the brand will introduce a manual and DCT version of the performance-oriented machine.Next in line is the biggest of the lot, the Honda CB1000 Hornet. The bike is expected to have all the features expected from a big machine. To improve its capabilities, chances are that the bike will have USD forks in the front and a mono-shock at the rear end. To make things easier for the rider, the bike will have multiple features including riding modes, traction control, and more.Presently, Honda has very few big bikes in its model lineup for the Indian market. Among these is the NX500 representing the brand in the middle-weight adventure bike segment. On the slightly bigger side, the brand has the Transalp and Africa Twin. The brand also has the very expensive and luxurious Gold Wing Tour.Latest News educationCTET September 2026 Registration Closes Today; Check How to Apply for Teacher Eligibility Examcity23-Year-Old Burnt Alive As Vehicles Erupt In Flames on Ahmedabad Vadodara Expresswayauto2026 Hyundai i20 Coming Soon - What To Expectindia'Tireless Karmayogi': BJP Hails PM Modi's Historic Milestone As NDA Gears For Show Of Strengthentertainment newsTN CM Vijay Turns Emotional At Bharathiraja’s Funeral, Announces State Honours For Last RitesdelhiSouth Delhi Encounter: 'Bad Character' History-Sheeter With 17 Cases Injured In Gunfight With Policeviral‘Hum Back Nahi Lenge’: Delhi Woman Driving On Wrong Side Refuses To Reverse, Causes JamindiaAnother Setback For Mamata Banerjee, TMC's Sushmita Dev Quits As Rajya Sabha MPAmulya Srinet authorAmulya, a journalism and mass communication graduate, has a keen interest in the latest two-wheeler trends and serves as a motoring correspondent.
