Honda To Reintroduce The CBR650R, CB650R Sports Bikes In India

Honda has teased the imminent return of the popular CBR650R sportbike to the Indian market. This fully-faired, middleweight motorcycle, renowned for its inline-four engine and engaging riding dynamics, is likely to make a comeback at the Auto Expo 2025.

The 2025 model year sees the introduction of Honda's innovative E-Clutch technology, eliminating the need for clutch lever operation during gear shifts or stops. This lightweight system, weighing a mere 3kg, significantly enhances ease of use and contributes to a smoother riding experience.

Aesthetically, the latest iteration boasts sharper styling and a new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone integration. Available in two fresh colorways – Honda Red and Matte Black – the new CBR650R offers renewed package.

Honda CB650R To Also Make A ComebackGiven Honda's historical practice of offering both faired and naked versions in the Indian market, the introduction of the updated CB650R alongside the CBR650R is also likely. The CB also gets a nip-and-tuck job alongside the E-Clutch technology. Both models are expected to receive styling refinements and benefit from the inclusion of the E-Clutch tech.

The previous generation CBR650R was priced at Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With the introduction of updates and potential price adjustments, the reintroduced model is likely to face competition from established rivals such as the Triumph Daytona 660 and the Suzuki GSX-8S.
