Yamaha has introduced updated versions of its popular the R15 and R15M bikes, for the 2025 model year in Indonesia. While the motorcycles remain mechanically unchanged compared to the Indian market versions, Yamaha has introduced new color schemes that could potentially be offered in India as well. The R15 is now available in four new colors: Tech Black, Icon Blue, and Aggressive Grey. The R15M features a single new color option, Icon Performance. Yamaha has not implemented any mechanical changes or added new features to either model, given their already comprehensive list of standard equipment. Both the R15 and R15M are equipped with features such as a slipper clutch, traction control, and a quickshifter, making them among the most feature-rich bikes in their segment.Powering both models is a 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 18.4 horsepower and 14.2 Nm of torque. The bikes feature a single disc brake at both ends with dual-channel ABS, a seat height of 815 mm, a ground clearance of 170 mm, a kerb weight of 141 kg, and a fuel tank capacity of 11 liters. While the R15 and R15M share a common mechanical foundation, they differ in terms of cosmetic styling. The R15 is priced at Rs 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the R15M is slightly more expensive at Rs 1.98 lakh. These models compete with other popular sportbikes in the Indian market, such as the KTM RC 200, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.Latest News videosKamal Haasan Targets Vijay Over Two Seats; Calls It Betrayal Ahead Of Tamil Nadu Assembly PollssportsPCB Plans To Build Landmark Stadium in Saudi Arabia — Talks Underwayentertainment newsDhurandhar Mania Continues: Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh Take Bold Step, To Release Making Of Film In Theatres - ReportpunePune Water Cut: No Supply for 24-Hours on April 23 - Check Timings and Affected AreasvideosPappu Yadav Faces Heat From BJP's Ajay Alok, Shehzad Poonawalla Over Shocking Remark On WomenindiaKharge Stokes ‘Terrorist’ Row; BJP Says Can’t Stoop Lowersports'Results have been Very Satisfying’: Aditya Singh After Winning 2 Gold at US OpenindiaPakistan Extends Airspace Closure For Indian Planes Till May 24Prashant Singh authorPrashant is a senior journalist who has been active since 2014.
